On this, the 27th day of March, 25 years ago, a doctor in St. Louis declared: "He should have been twins!" Enter Brandon K. Richards. I love my birthday boy for the following reasons (list not exclusive):
He still makes this face when he sees cake.
He's Superman. (This picture taken after a failed attempt to fly off the top of his bunk bed, complete with cape.) His sense of adventure and fearlessness is still intact.
He's always looked dashing in a three piece suit.
His undying love for Sesame Street. It may have started with these snappy suspenders. Our wedding CD featured Brandon's all-time favourite song: Visit the Moon.
His cute half smile.
The fact that he insisted on wearing a hat for school pictures several years in a row (his mum had to sign a note!) Also his straight teeth, a direct result of braces for a long time.
He's a winner!
He is not scared to sport corn rows, or flaunt the aftermath.
He was a star athlete in high school...if only I had known him then.
He's so mature for his age. This was his 23rd birthday, despite the photographic evidence which he tampered with.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY!
2 pennies for your thoughts:
