Introducing Richards #3

Many of you have probably wondered throughout your lives what the offspring of a couple of good looking kids like these might appear like...


Well you're days of wondering are over!!! After 40.1 weeks in the making, may I introduce the newest member of the Richards family.

Name: Teagan Elizabeth Richards
How to pronounce Teagan: Tay-gan
Date of Birth: October 25th, 2010
Height: 20"
Weight: 8 lbs, 15 oz.
Number of fingers: 10
Number of toes: 10

Michelle went into the hospital Sunday evening at 8 pm to be induced. After 20 hours of grueling labor, in which the baby fought with all her might to stay put, the doctor said enough is enough and pulled her out via C-section on Monday afternoon.

It was clear to see that Teagan inherited traits from both of her parents. She got a full head of blonde hair from her mother...


And a second chin from her father.

Michelle's mother was in town for the delivery of her first grandchild. Her task over the next 2 weeks is to attempt to make respectable parents out of the two of us.


Michelle didn't get to hold Teagan for over 2 hours after the delivery. While dad and grandma got to play with the baby, mom was getting sewn back up. Once everything was put back in place, Michelle got to hold her daughter for the first time.

Michelle is quite the natural when it comes to parenthood. I'm still trying to grasp the concept. For those of you who haven't had a good laugh yet during this post, I thought I'd add a quick photo of myself trying to put on my first diaper as a father. With a few layers of duct tape to finish the job, the diaper stayed on quite nicely. It's a shame that kids have to poop.
