Perfectly gender-neutral car seat? (Thanks Mum & Dad!) ✓ Check!
Not-so-neutral but oh-so-cute diaper bag? ✓ Check!
Could-it-get-any-more-full hospital bag? ✓ Check!
Crippling fear that we're going to be terrible parents? ✓✓ Double Check!
We know there are worse parents out there (ahem, The Jerry Springer Show, ahem) and we'll learn as we go from great examples our family and friends have already set.
Mum was kind enough to take a few shots of us while we're still somewhat fun & fancy-free (as much as I could be on my due date), on the verge of parenthood.
Of course, Buddy couldn't stay serious for too long, or the universe may implode...
Here we are at 40 weeks, hoping that at least one of us is lighter by Monday. (Crossing my fingers it's me!)
We're SO excited for the next stage in our lives and can't wait to see this little girl! It really is amazing how you can love someone so much that you've never even seen. That kind of unconditional, innate love helps when you're up all night going to the bathroom and having to turn over every 15 minutes like you're a pig on a BBQ spit.
Going in tonight to start the induction (we like to call it the eviction) process, so if Brandon can figure out how to do it, we should have an update for you onTuesday! Thanks for all of your prayers and well wishes...we're off to become parents!
