M is for Mindy...

Much to my surprise, at least one person actually reads this blog and goes through withdrawals if more than 10 days pass by without a post. We have a fan! Without further ado, I dedicate this post to our biggest fan, Mindy Tallulah Thornley (who didn't get back to me in enough time for me to use her real middle name).
Mindy & Brandon were on the same BC Team at EFY in 2006, and being engaged, I was dying to spend every possible minute with him (not so much the case anymore). Hence, I met Mindy and have not stopped laughing since.
One of my favourite things about Mindy is her "To Be Kicked List" and I am proud to say that my name has not appeared on said list (to my knowledge). Brandon is another story. The list was proudly displayed in the office, so no one could say that they didn't know Mindy was upset with them...come to think of it, I might have to start a list of my own on this very blog -- check regularly for updates. Mindy is so honest and upfront, she makes for a wonderful friend. She tried (in vain) to instill manners in some of those she worked with, ie. not breaking wind during important meetings...or prayers. She's a good woman.

Also great about Mindy is her going against the grain. She hates Provo & BYU (we got off to a shaky start), as well as the Beach Boys, bowling and BBQ Sauce. Actually, maybe it's the letter B that upsets her so much. So in that case, she probably hates Brandon, babies and butterflies. But, there's one B I know she loves, and that's

Baba Ghanoush.
Not only is it a delicious Middle Eastern dish consisting mostly of eggplant, it's also a long-standing EFY joke that all began with a trip to the Pita Pit and Rich inquiring as to what exactly "Baba Ghanoush" consists of. Upon being told, he exclaimed that he just might Baba Ghanoush his pants! When Mindy came to our wedding reception, she brought us a gift, lovingly nicknamed Baba Ghanoush, Baba for short. If anyone can guess what exactly that gift was, you'll get a congratulatory pat on the back (we're on a budget, people). The picture below is our reaction to seeing the gift, if that gives you a clue!
I LOVE YOU MINDIZZLE! (Brandon officially seconds this motion)

Speechless. I am completely speechless. Well, evidently not because look - I am talking! But really, speechless! And honored. I feel very honored - scarey-weird eyeball photo and all! To quote Sally Field, "You like me! You really, really like me!" P.s. I love the photo at your reception. I had no idea one had been taken. It is one of my favorite photos OF ALL time! I think MORE people should follow in your footsteps with their blogs and write about ME. It makes up for me not being cool enough (again, read as: not married) to have a blog of my own. TODAY: I feel special because of YOU. Hahahaha! Plus, most importantly, I am *so* entertained!

Wow, what do you have to do to get a blog post dedicate personally to yourself? :-) Thanks to the article. Sounds like he's doing great. Too bad I don't have time to watch and just have to watch highlights from youtube!

And by "thanks to the article" I mean "thanks for the article."

Huh, I thought M was for Marlo. Just because I am not a Richards. I found your family's secret blog. And I challenge you to a "friendly" competition in number of pages read this year. Ready set go.
