THE Ward

We just got word that the boundaries of our ward (along with 5 others) will be changing next Sunday. We'll both be in Moscow enjoying time with Brandon's family, so we'll miss the big announcement. Our dedicated friends, The Giffords, will be taking copious notes for us (and if we don't end up staying in the same ward, we WILL take up residence in their backyard.)
We're trying to keep our spirits up and maintain a positive attitude, especially since we don't know what's happening. But I must say that even the short time we've been in the Coronado Ward, it's been an absolutely wonderful experience. There's a sense of unity that we haven't felt in a long time. Anyone in the ward would do anything for anyone. I've been driven across town, found babysitting, free food, free baby gear and clothes from almost strangers. It's beautiful. And I want to believe that if we're no longer members of the Coronado Ward after next Sunday, that we'll still remain friends and continue to serve and be served by our friends and neighbours there.
The church is true regardless of where you live and we're excited to have things shaken up a little bit and meet new people. Let's face it, a fresh start is always nice :)
