Christmas Catch-Up

Now that the hustle & bustle of Christmas are over, I'm finally getting back to blogging. It's been a while, I know. To give you a quick recap on our Christmas, we spent it here in Vegas - which means it was quick. Brandon got 1/2 of Friday and Monday off, so it didn't make sense for us to fly to either parents' house for Christmas. We both missed our families terribly and spent a good deal of time Skyping with them.
We've made some fantastic friends in our new ward (have I mentioned how much we LOVE our new ward?) who were thoughtful and kind enough to invite us over to share Christmas Eve with them.

I'm embarrassed to admit that we didn't capture a single photo of the 3 of us on Christmas Day, and am less embarrassed to admit that it's probably because I spent the whole day (minus an hour of church) in flannel pajamas. Don't worry, Brandon knows how lucky he is - I remind him constantly.
I apologize in advance to those of you who believed me when I said my baby wouldn't swallow my blog. She'll take over this particular post, because after the birth of the Saviour, aren't kids a big part of Christmas?
Here she is trying to pretend that it isn't almost 70 degrees outside.

She got a Cabbage Patch Kid (who shares her initials with California Pizza Kitchen Buddy & I realized during a bout of hunger on Christmas Day.)
And that was the last drop of juice the doll has seen. Teagan's been carrying it everywhere ever since.
Along with our tubes of M&Ms.
Here she wearing her Christmas dress and a forced smile shortly before throwing a ridiculous tantrum for an equally ridiculous reason.
Here she is taking good care of another doll she was given for Christmas. Such a tender, caring mother figure. She's obviously been watching me closely.
Ooh! A bauble! Not sure where she got this move from...to my knowledge I've never thrown her to the ground in pursuit of something shiny.
We had some other wonderful friends invite us for Christmas Dinner, a Christmas miracle in itself! I couldn't be trusted to cook a turkey on my own. It was so sweet. Have I mentioned we love our ward?
