I know many of you are back reading the blog because I'd committed to doing something blogworthy this weekend. Sorry, I was mistaken. I meant to say I'll do something
next weekend. I have to work (surprised?) and Buddy's studying for finals, but our friends
The Morrells are helping us make the blog a lot more exciting once we've visited them and gone
HERE.
But, before you get too disappointed, please accept this compilation of more-than-blogworthy events from weekends past. I give you,
Spring Break in Moscow, Idaho...
First things first, Buddy HAD to see his Dad's motorcycle. Of course after he saw it he wanted to ride it, and where better to go on a chopper than church?

Buddy also learned some new tricks while we were there, mostly from Ty.

He couldn't hack the spoon-on-the-nose trick, but the kids sure got a kick out of his next best thing.

Ty also showed Uncle Brandon how to lose at wrestling. Although I think the fact that Buddy was sleeping for the majority of the match helped Ty's case a little.

On to Easter... Buddy & I can't seem to upgrade from the Kids' Table. Of course, Grandpa always seems to be there with us, so age doesn't seem to be the deciding factor.

This year the Easter Bunny asked his helper, the Easter Buddy to hide the eggs at Grandma's house. You can be sure we'll be finding plenty of those eggs next year, as neither Buddy nor I kept very good track of our trickiness. The traditional laundry basket full of eggs seems to get larger and larger every year (and matching the tops & bottoms of eggs takes longer and longer). As you can see, three years ago, one could easily fit a small child in with the array of eggs...

...this year the basket runneth o'er. Please note the sleeping parent - Richards get-togethers generally knock out a parent or two.

The crew with their buckets of enthusiasm and baskets of anticipation. The eggs didn't stand a chance against this bunch.

Assessing their spoils.

The Easter Buddy & the omnipresent Buffy taking well-deserved naps post-festivities. The love of a boy and his cat.

But what would a trip to Moscow be without a few costume changes here and there? We starred as special guests Paul & Lydia (the seller of purple) at Sister Richards' early morning seminary class.

Emma & I sported our matching glasses.

And we came across some irresistible fashions at Tara & Eric's.

Not to mention, got to play one of our all-time favourite games:
Space Faces.
Ages 4 and up.
Doesn't give a maximum age, so it's okay that four 20 & 30 somethings were up all night playing it, right?
We even got some exclusive footage of some of our extremely talented nephews:
I love seeing Buddy interact with our nieces & nephews, it reminds me of what a wonderful father he's going to be someday. They love him so much.

Even Meg, who he used to think would hate him for the duration of his natural life. Apparently, such is not the case anymore.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any sweeter...

...reality hit us both like a ton of bricks. Yep, studying on the plane ride back from Spring Break. I love this man, but NERD ALERT!

Thanks for the good times, everyone! Let's do it again in, say, 3 weeks?
5 pennies for your thoughts:
Loved the post! I would agree that you guys do have the best nieces and nephews ever.
Ugh. You and the "Morrells" ... Look at you four being BFFs just because you are all married. Lame. Why not be BFF with the Thornley? I know it's singular and not as cool, but come on people ... Single people need friends too. I might not have been able to read the entire post because of my realization that Mark and Kaylinn are your besties. Ugh. Digging a hole. In Idaho. To live in.
Looks like it was so much fun in Idaho! Can't wait to hear about the next adventure to California. See you soooooooon...
Update or die.
P.s. I think your update should explain why you cannot be BFF with the Thornley.
