More Kooky than Spooky

Did you expect anything less from us? We skimped this Hallowe'en and found a monkey costume at Goodwill for $2.99 and squeezed the babe into it for the Ward Trunk or Treat. Not to be outdone, Buddy dressed as a giant banana to match. No wonder I have smile lines at 27!
I wasn't feeling inspired (we moved earlier that morning) so dug around in my closet and went as The Man in the Yellow Hat's (from Curious George) cousin, The Woman in the Yellow Dress. A stretch, I know. But I'll never be as clever as the likes of my friend Brit, seen here as Fran Goodman from Dodgeball, so I figured I wouldn't try that hard. Here's "Teagan in action" trick or treating. I felt guilty that we'd be the ones eating all the treats so only visited a few friends, (not like some kids who went around 3 times!) much to Buddy's chagrin.
We don't take many family photos, but I was glad to get this one. Hallowe'en night brought 50x as many trick or treaters than we had living in our condos, so we were grossly unprepared. I thought I could make it through one more round so I left the light on only to run out of candy in the middle of a huge group and ended up handing out some of Teagan's boxes of raisins. Yup, we were that house. The Raisin Lady. I shamed the family name this Hallowe'en, but was relieved to wake up the next morning without egg on the windows. We know for next year. Happy Hallowe'en...a little late.
