Better late than never, I always say! I've been conflicted about how far back I should go, having gone a considerable amount of time sans blogging. But, I just couldn't leave out the deliciousness that was Thanksgiving this year. The Dennises were kind enough to invite us and The Armstrongs over for a beautiful turkey dinner that still makes me drool to think about.
Never to be entrusted with critical culinary responsibilities, (my nickname growing up was "Juice Girl" - I made a mean Minute Maid) we tackled the green beans and apple pie. Not hard, you say? Au contraire. We made a quick stop at the grocery store to purchase a back-up pie for when (not if, when) my apple pie flopped. Turns out I should have had a little more faith in myself! I won't say it was the best I've ever had, but I will tell you that we took the store-bought pie home untouched...

This is us giving thanks for The Dennises & The Armstrongs. Actually, at this point we were probably giving thanks for the enormous amount of food we consumed and their incredibly comfortable new couch with multiple reclining seats, but we were still grateful to them at some juncture. It was great to spend such a wonderful holiday with such wonderful friends...who can cook.
To top the night off, as a parting gift, Buddy was invited to take a gander at the kids' Hallowe'en candy and pick out a few things. Yes, he had permission, no he didn't take very much and yes, he regretted not trick or treating this year. Thanks for sharing, Kylie & Peyton! Happy Thanksgiving indeed!
1 pennies for your thoughts:
It was so nice to spend that day with you! Lets do it again soon!!
