I can talk the talk, but can I walk the walk?

The only reason I started to walk was because I saw a promise of food at the end:Well, now I've got a better reason to walk: the promise of a cure for blood cancers. You may have come here today looking for a laugh, but today I'm asking for your help...

As most of you know, I work for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), and everyday I support and encourage participants in my program to raise funds for blood cancer research and patient support. Well, this is my chance to "walk the walk" and participate in our annual walk to raise money in support an amazing cause and I'm asking you to help me, please. Help me Light The Night!

Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's evening walk and fundraising event. It is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of people battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost.

Our National Spokesperson, Tina Fey can tell you more:

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) funds lifesaving research that has contributed to major advances in the treatment of blood cancers and treatments for other types of cancer, such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants. These treatments have helped patients live better, longer lives. New targeted therapies that kill cancer cells without harming normal tissue are providing drugs and procedures that are improving quality of life.

Every 10 minutes, someone dies from a blood cancer. Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and young adults under the age of 20*. Every penny counts, and a donation of any size would be appreciated to make sure kids like Kellen, who beat leukemia before his second birthday, have the opportunity to take their first steps.
Again, you can visit my personal fundraising site and donate online by clicking HERE, or pasting this address into your browser: http://pages.lightthenight.org/snv/LasVegas09/MRichards.

Please make a donation to support my participation in the Light The Night Walk and help save lives. Be sure to check my Web site frequently to see my progress.
Thanks for your support!
